Project and Construction Management of Casa Latakia in El Toyo (Almería) 2008

  • Casa Latakia el Toyo Almería II
  • Casa Latakia el Toyo Almería III

The house is composed of prismatic volumes in which white concrete elements wrap timber-clad bodies, creating a duality between solidity and warmth. This configuration allows for a layout that opens onto the garden and views, while remaining protected from the street, establishing a controlled relationship with the surroundings.

Access is conceived through a gradual transition that leads to a central double-height space, which organizes the house. The staircase, light and open, structures the interior circulation, promoting spatial continuity and a fluid relationship between the different levels.

Natural light structures the project through large openings and strategic voids that balance transparency and solar protection. The main spaces extend towards the exterior, integrating terraces and the swimming pool as a direct extension of domestic life.

The ensemble responds coherently to the criteria of lighting, circulation, construction, and context, shaping a balanced architecture based on formal clarity and spatial quality.
