The house is conceived through a composition of solid white volumes organized around a central courtyard featuring a garden and reflecting pool, which acts as both the climatic and spatial core of the project. The layout responds to the Mediterranean context, prioritizing inward openness and controlled exposure to the exterior in order to ensure privacy and thermal efficiency.
Natural light structures the project through large openings, double-height spaces, and courtyards that introduce zenithal light. Wooden louver systems filter solar radiation, creating a balance between direct and diffused light that enhances the quality of the interior spaces.
Circulation is organized perimetrically around the courtyard, establishing a spatial continuity that dissolves the boundary between interior and exterior at ground-floor level. On the upper floor, walkways and galleries connect the private areas while maintaining a constant visual relationship with the central void.
The construction combines a massive white envelope, providing thermal inertia, with lightweight timber elements that function as solar protection devices. Cantilevers and structural frames generate intermediate shaded spaces specifically adapted to the climate.
The relationship with the context is resolved through the creation of its own microclimate, where vegetation, water, and cross ventilation configure an inhabitable exterior environment coherent with the climatic conditions of Roquetas de Mar.
