The social housing project in Sector SUP ACA 09/802, in Vega de Acá, is founded on principles of design, architectural quality and environmental performance. Located in a new area of urban expansion, it responds to contemporary demands for comfort, privacy and modernity, integrating seamlessly into a masterplan characterised by wide avenues and generous green spaces.
The building reinforces this contemporary character through a clean and balanced design, featuring repeated openings that allow for dynamic compositions without compromising constructive simplicity. The defining element is the balcony, present in each of the 92 dwellings, conceived as a prefabricated unit made of blue-green perforated metal sheeting. It provides both Mediterranean identity and functional value by incorporating concealed aerothermal outdoor units within the façade.
The U-shaped layout creates an interior communal space, while the three façades share a common architectural language based on environmental integration and refined detailing. The dark plinth protects the ground floor and establishes a visual connection with the terrain, adding distinction to the overall composition.
Finally, the building envelope is conceived as an organic element, with projections, colours and modulations that evoke the surrounding vegetation. The orderly repetition of openings and the use of industrialised construction modules ensure coherence, modernity and environmental quality throughout the entire block.
