The building is conceived as a compact and unified volume that integrates into its surroundings through an open and permeable ground floor layout, establishing visual and functional continuity with the public space by means of a glazed plinth.
Circulation is organised through a perimeter portico system that structures access and guides the user, while inside, a large double-height space organises the layout, with a central staircase acting as both a structuring element and a spatial reference.
Natural light is a key design factor, introduced through vertical openings and large glazed surfaces which, together with the building’s section, allow for deep and uniform illumination, further enhanced by the light-toned materiality of the interior surfaces.
From a constructive standpoint, the proposal combines a continuous and abstract envelope on the upper floors with a lightweight and transparent ground floor, incorporating timber elements that provide warmth and human scale, resulting in a precise, coherent architecture well integrated into its context.
