48 housing project, 18 locs. in San José, Níjar (Almería) 2004

The project organizes a residential complex of 48 dwellings through a clear and unified architectural language, based on white volumes, pitched roofs, and blue metalwork elements that reinforce its Mediterranean character.

The dwellings are arranged in rows, generating a sequence of pedestrian paths, entrances, and private outdoor spaces that establish a gradual transition between the street and the domestic realm. The layout of the complex promotes the entry of natural light, incorporating generous openings, porches, and terraces that extend the living spaces outdoors while providing shade and environmental comfort.

From a constructive perspective, the repetition of simple architectural elements creates a coherent and homogeneous image, while setbacks, courtyards, and exterior filters introduce depth and a domestic scale. The project integrates into its urban and landscape context through an ordered layout, a luminous material palette, and a direct relationship with the Mediterranean climate and landscape.
