Project and Direction of Latakia House in El Toyo (Almería) 2008

We were looking for a domestic structure that was capable of accommodating a diverse range of uses and with a high level of flexibility. To do this it had a free-standing concrete fold; a self-sufficient and stand-alone element that was able to characterise the design and provide it with a solid infrastructure around which all the spaces and ideas required by the client are designed.

The base from where it emerges contains strips that are transformed into versatile living spaces, such as the swimming pool, the play courtyards for the children, a strip of garden and a vehicle entrance to the garage. The interior of the house boasts a series of rooms visually connected by a double height space, where a light staircase is positioned like a piece of furniture.
