Project of 94 Subsidised Housing in Motril (Granada) 2008

2nd Prize in Competition.

In order to economise on the construction, the unit is made up of a series of back-to-back symmetrical houses, on both sides of the vertical access cores, with a strip of interior plumbing cores that join the two houses.

The aim is that from the exterior the whole complex looks like just one uniform building. In order to achieve this there is a continuous facade, which is modulated in order to provide connections between elements of different houses, windows, doors, steps, etc. In this way a composite unit is achieved, creating flexible vertical openings that play that around with the dimensions of the houses. It is tried that from the outside the group is understood as a homogeneous building.
