Project and Construction Management of Infant and Primary Center in San Isidro, Níjar (Almería) 2007

1st Prize in Contest.

The objective is the construction of a school where the tight budget available does not condition a dignified and contemporary solution. The building consists of a children’s education module, gym, dining room, common areas, administration, etc. The building is structured in a U shape with access from a wide street, with pedestrian and vehicle access. A perimeter fence of tramex on a concrete wall provides the necessary privacy to the play areas. The access to the building is framed by a folded exposed concrete element that starts from the same foundation while it interacts with the rest of the exposed concrete elements of the construction.
