Pre-project of the Carnival Museum (Cádiz) 2006

The carnival museum is designed as an underground construction accessed by wide and gentle ramps that descend to an open distribution and access space housed in a large glass box. The box opens to shelter with its folding covers the different platforms from where one performs, speaks, or simply is. It also functions as a passage space for the different routes through the plaza. The building’s roof becomes the plaza longed for by the neighbors. The plaza rises slightly at some points, creating spaces and routes that allow for its proper functioning. Several openings allow natural light to flood the spaces below ground level.
