The building is configured as a fusion of two volumes. On one hand, a main volume facing Avda. del Mar establishes the public image of the building: it is a “transparent” body that opens to the city and the citizen. On the other hand, a lower-height body facing Marqués de la Ensenada Street: it is an “opaque” body, which opens only occasionally to the outside and houses the parts with a higher degree of privacy within the building’s operation. At the junction of these two volumes, pedestrian access from the outside and the vertical communication core within are established.
