The adaptation and implementation of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) requires a new model of university campus that allows optimizing the available time to the maximum and making the most of all existing resources (light, sea, views, protected spaces,…) through different alternatives. Thus, two generating elements are established: The Nomadic Classroom (or CEI international classroom) and the Sustainable Network.
The Nomadic Classroom will become a meeting point for the entire university community from which interaction with different agents located in different places will be possible. The sustainable network will serve as a basis for the location of different nomadic classrooms and will provide unity to the entire set. In addition, the sustainable network will extend to the sea with the aim of integrating the maritime front into the University. In this way, Nomadic Classroom and Sustainable Network constitute the two generating elements of the new relationships that must be established in the university environment under the new International Excellence Campuses, taking into account sustainability criteria.
